Tutorial Sessions provide a structured learning opportunity for participants who want to deepen their understanding of important scientific, technological and application-oriented topics in industrial electronics.

Tutorials should be pedagogical, well organized and valuable to both newcomers and specialists. Proposals are encouraged when they connect to the conference theme: Industrial Electronics at the Crossroads of Energy and Digital Transitions.

What Is a Tutorial Session?

A Tutorial Session is an educational session designed to provide participants with a clear, structured and technically sound introduction to a topic, method, technology or application area.

Tutorials may cover mature technologies, emerging research directions, methodological foundations, industrial tools, design practices, standards, experimental techniques, or application-oriented knowledge relevant to the IEEE ISIE community.

Thematic Alignment

Tutorial proposals may address any topic within the scientific scope of IEEE ISIE 2027, including energy conversion, massive electrification, smart grids, renewable energy, power electronics, electrical machines, industrial AI, robotics, sensing, cyber-physical systems, factory automation, resilience, cybersecurity, standards and sustainable industrial technologies.

Tutorials are especially encouraged when they help participants understand key technologies supporting the energy transition and the intelligent digital transition of modern industry.

Proposal Content

Required Proposal Elements

  • Tutorial title.
  • Abstract, scope and motivation.
  • Presenter names, affiliations and contact information.
  • Short biographies of all presenters.
  • Expected audience and prerequisite knowledge.
  • Learning objectives and expected outcomes.
  • Proposed tutorial structure and approximate duration.
  • Relationship with the IEEE ISIE 2027 theme, Technical Tracks or main thematic areas.
  • Any specific technical requirements, if applicable.

Selection Criteria

Tutorial proposals will be evaluated according to their technical quality, educational value, relevance to IEEE ISIE 2027, clarity of objectives, expected interest for the audience, balance between fundamentals and applications, and the expertise of the presenters.

Priority will be given to tutorials that provide a strong learning experience, address timely topics, and support knowledge transfer across academic and industrial communities.

Presenter Responsibilities

Tutorial presenters are expected to prepare high-quality educational material, deliver the tutorial during the conference, engage with participants, and coordinate with the Tutorial Sessions Chairs regarding scheduling, format and technical needs.

Presenters should ensure that the tutorial remains accessible, well structured, technically rigorous and useful for the intended audience.

Important Requirements

  • Tutorials must provide educational value and not be limited to promotional content.
  • Commercial tools, products or platforms may be discussed only within a balanced technical or educational framework.
  • Presenters should clearly identify the target audience and prerequisite knowledge.
  • Accepted tutorial presenters are expected to register for and attend the conference.
  • The final tutorial format and schedule will be confirmed by the conference organizers.

Tutorial proposals must be submitted through the online submission form. Before opening the form, proposers are encouraged to prepare all the information listed in the Proposal Content section above, including presenter details, learning objectives, intended audience, tutorial outline, expected duration, thematic relevance, and any specific technical requirements.

Please review your proposal carefully before submission and ensure that all information is complete and accurate. The information provided through the form will be used by the Tutorial Sessions Chairs to evaluate the proposal and, if accepted, to support program planning and scheduling.

Proposals will be reviewed according to the Selection Criteria described above.
