IEEE ISIE 2027 invites original contributions addressing the role of industrial electronics in the energy transition and the intelligent digital transformation of modern industry.

Conference Theme

Industrial Electronics at the Crossroads of Energy and Digital Transitions

Industrial electronics lies at the heart of two major transformations shaping the coming decade: the energy transition, driven by electrification, renewable integration, smart grids and high-efficiency energy conversion; and the digital transition, driven by industrial AI, data-driven control, robotics, sensing, cyber-physical systems and connected factories.

IEEE ISIE 2027, the 36th edition of the flagship annual symposium of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, will bring this international community to Paris from June 30 to July 03, 2027. Researchers, engineers, industrial leaders and technology innovators are warmly invited to contribute and actively participate in this world-class event.

Scientific Scope & Main Thematic Areas

The scientific scope of IEEE ISIE 2027 reflects the technologies that connect energy systems, industrial automation and digital intelligence. It is introduced through eight broad thematic areas to help authors and participants understand the main directions of the conference. For paper submission, authors should select one of the 24 Regular Tracks listed on the Technical Tracks page.

Electrification of Mobility and Transportation

Electric vehicles, aerospace and marine electrification, traction drives, charging infrastructure and e-mobility ecosystems.

Power Electronics and Electrical Machines

Converters, wide-bandgap devices, advanced machines, drives, electromagnetic design, thermal management and reliability aspects.

Grid integration, microgrids, energy management, batteries and supercapacitors, hydrogen systems and power quality.

Control, Robotics and Motion Systems

Advanced control, robust and adaptive control, robotics, motion control, networked systems and distributed control.

Instrumentation, Sensors, Actuators, and Microsystems

Smart sensing, actuators, MEMS/NEMS, embedded measurement systems, instrumentation and monitoring for industry.

Artificial Intelligence and Data-Driven Industry

AI for industrial systems, data-driven control, digital twins, predictive maintenance, responsible AI and explainable AI.

Cyber-Physical Systems, Industrial Communications and Factory Automation

Industry 4.0/5.0, industrial IoT, cloud and edge computing, wireless industrial networks, industrial agents and building automation.

Human-Centered, Resilient and Sustainable Industrial Systems

Human factors, education and skills, resilience, cybersecurity, standards, sustainability and life-cycle assessment.

Submission Guidance

Prospective authors are invited to submit original full papers in English. Authors should select the Regular Track that best matches the main contribution of their manuscript. Interdisciplinary submissions are strongly encouraged when they connect industrial electronics with emerging scientific, technological or societal challenges.
